Welcome to my website. I hope you
will find it informative and helpful.
SOME PSYCHOTHERAPY FACTS:
- Throughout over thirty five years of practicing psychotherapy, I have been and continue to be committed to helping people change and grow in order to experience all the happiness and satisfaction their lives have to offer.
- People seek therapy for a variety of reasons, most often because they are dealing with a problem or problems which interfere with living their lives in as positive and productive a manner as possible. Sometimes people use therapy as a preventative/learning experience for life events such as premarital counseling.
- Emotional and psychological health are as important as physical health and essential to well-being and are, in fact, interwoven.
- Therapy provides an opportunity to learn how thoughts, emotional and behavioral patterns, sometimes out of our conscious awareness, can affect us and can be obstacles to our happiness and emotional growth.
I have heard people say they believe that needing help is a sign of weakness. On the contrary, the ability to face problems and seek help for them when needed requires both courage and strength.
- Often, when people have tried everything they know how to do without achieving the desired results, they feel hopeless. Although feeling that way is understandable, there is no reason to give up hope. I've worked with people of all ages and have found that age is no barrier to change. Motivation to feel better and enjoy a better quality of life is a powerful incentive for change, no matter when that process begins. In fact, sometimes being older can be a positive factor in that the more life we live, the broader our perspective. Also, it's all relative. I've heard people in their twenties say, "I've been this way all my life." as well as people in there eighties and everything in between.
- If you are in the Dallas, Texas metroplex area needing help with issues such as sexuality, self-esteem, depression, anxiety and relationship/family problems, I am here to help and hope you will contact me.

Why a book?
I often hear the same things from people, as well as the absence of knowledge about important things, so I decided a book might help readers become aware of missing and/or mis-information.
Topics such as healthy emotional self-care and self-love; writing one's own script; boundaries; effective communication and problem solving; creating emotional and sexual intimacy; and letting go of perfectionism are addressed. It offers tools for new ways of thinking, feeling and being to enhance happiness and quality of life.
